Woman Wanted for Questioning in Vacuum Cleaner Theft Case

(Murfreesboro, TN) In Murfreesboro, Detectives need assistance identifying a person of interest in a theft of merchandise case. On December 23, 2022, a customer entered the Target store on Old Fort Parkway and returned a Bissel vacuum cleaner using a cash receipt.

Prior to returning the merchandise, police report the customer went to the floorcare department and selected two identical Bissel vacuums and proceeded to the self-checkout lane. Only one of the vacuums were actually scanned and paid for with cash, the other was believed to have been stolen, according to MPD. The reported person of interest then left the store in a black Nissan pickup truck, possibly a Frontier.
