Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland

• Possibly one-way streets in historic distric and square to have better traffic flow
• City has amended its Middle Point lawsuit re: leachate around the landfill. 
• Middle Point Landfill issues of smell and water continue. Also, birds over landfill create a concern for airplanes in the area. 
• Water discussion about continuing to use J. Percy Priest Reservoir as backup for drinking water
• UPDATE on major projects that would improve the visual image and downtown footprint for Murfreesboro (East College, LLC; bank building on E. Main; city property including Police building, old City Hall and Water Department. 
• UPDATE on the condemned Murfree Spring board walk system--deemed unsafe.
• UPDATE on renovation of Front Street and Vine Street at Broad, including major renovations of the road in front of Cannonsburgh Village and the large gravel parking lot (against city codes for there to be large gravel lots). To make these improvements, Cannonsburgh may have to be closed for a period of time. 
• UPDATE on the bridges near RCSO to New Salem Highway; bridge over Stones River as an extension of Northfield (Ford dealer) to area near Murfreesboro Medical Clinic).
