Alleged bank fraud photos released by Murfreesboro Police

Murfreesboro, TN – The investigation into the attempted check fraud case in Murfreesboro has picked up momentum and police report the suspect has been identified. However, police have not released the name of the culprit. 

Authorities began investigating the case on January 18, 2023, after the first incident was reported at a Pinnacle Bank branch in Murfreesboro. Detectives say an individual (above photos released by the MPD) attempted to cash a fraudulent check for $1,600.12 at two different Pinnacle Bank branch locations in Murfreesboro. Bank employees later discovered the check was fraudulent and did not cash it at either location.

On Friday, March 17, 2023, the MPD reported a suspect in the case was identified. If you have any information that could help with the attempted check fraud case, the MPD asks that you contact Detective Ray Daniel at (629) 201-5512.
