(Rutherford County, TN) Around 4:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon (3/29/2023) the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office sent deputies to the Blackman Community regarding calls about a suicidal person walking around with a handgun.
When the incident occurred, several listeners phoned WGNS asking about the armed deputies walking around their neighborhood with assault rifles, which was when the radio station received confirmation of the situation.
Authorities searched the area and determined that the unknown “armed” subject was not in the area, or had left upon the arrival of law enforcement.
