It is once again time to sign up to be part of Rutherford County’s 22nd Annual Earth Day Celebration! Middle Tennessee Electric’s Amy Byers told WGNS News… The event will be on April 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the historic public square in downtown Murfreesboro.
Local organizations can participate in the upcoming event to make it a success. The application deadline is Friday, April 7. This year’s theme is “Renew Rutherford Together.”
This year, volunteers and groups are coming together to “Renew Rutherford Together.” It is up to each and every one of us to do our part, not just because we care about the natural world but because we live on it. We all need a healthy Earth to support our jobs, livelihoods, health & survival, and happiness. Our community depends on it!
There is also an Earth Day poster contest that is open to local school students in grades kindergarten through 12th. Poster designs should be focused on this year’s theme of, "What can we do to renew Rutherford together?" Some examples include: Recycling, saving water, saving energy, planting trees, etc. More Information Here: https://cityschools.net/2023-earth-day
