(READYVILLE, TN)  The historic Readyville Mill was destroyed by the early Saturday (4/1/2023) morning tornado that touched-down at the Rutherford-Cannon County line. 

It was constructed in 1812 by Colonel Charles Ready. The water-powered grist mill burned during the Civil War, and was rebuilt in the 1870s.  

After a dream-driven three-year renovation in 2009 as a popular restaurant. That business closed again earlier this year. 

The area around the Rutherford-Cannon County line was devastated by the early morning storms. 

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has crews on the storm sites throughout Middle Tennessee. NewsRadio WGNS will update this information.
