(MURFREESBORO) Around 4:40PM Wednesday afternoon (4/19/2023), Murfreesboro Police responded to a "shots fired" call in the 100 building at 1540 Place Apartments. Officers placed yellow-tape at the entrances and exits, searched the area for a victim and other evidence.
Murfreesboro Police PIO Larry Flowers told WGNS, "Several shell casings were found on the third floor of the building, as well as blood droppings. However, officers never located a wounded victim."
911 received several calls from area residents who reported hearing "shots fired" in the area of the complex at 1540 Lascassas Pike, near Woodfin Funeral Chapel.
Several people were detained and interviewed. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
