Murfreesboro, TN - Another shoplifting incident is under investigation in Murfreesboro and police need the communities help in identifying a subject who was caught on a security camera. The theft in question, according to the Murfreesboro Police, occurred on this past Friday (April 21, 2023) at the Lowe’s store on Old Fort Parkway.
Surveillance photos released by Lowe’s to MPD Detectives show the unknown culprit entered the store wearing a black t-shirt with jeans, a dark colored wristwatch, black shoes and a black San Francisco Giants ballcap. A Lowe’s employee told authorities the man wandered through an aisle or two grabbing merchandise before leaving the store without paying for the goods.
According to MPD Public Information Officer Larry Flowers, “He ran out of the store without paying.” Once in the parking lot, the person of interest left the area in a dark colored SUV. The mid-sized sport utility vehicle appeared to be a Nissan Xterra. Police ask, “If you know this person, please contact Detective Ed Gorham at 629-201-5507,” or you can email the detective at 0300@murfreesborotn.gov.
