Middle Tennessee Christian School is pleased to announce the hiring of Christian Peterson as our next high school football head coach.
Coach Peterson has served for two years as the offensive coordinator for the Cougars helping lead the team to a 33.5 points per game average over the last two seasons. During his tenure, the 17 wins and first ever trip to the state semifinals mark the most successful two year stretch in Cougar football history. Peterson has also served as the head coach for the Cougar track and field team for the past two seasons. Before coming to MTCS, Peterson spent six seasons serving as offensive line coach at Oviedo High School in Florida.
Coach Peterson states, “My family and I are humbled and honored to accept this incredible opportunity to serve as the next head football coach at MTCS. Our staff will continue to work daily to establish a program with integrity and class that makes the entire MTCS community proud. Most importantly, we will work to build and maintain a culture that develops our student-athletes both on and off the field.”
Peterson is a graduate of Arkansas State University. He and his wife Aleah have one daughter and are active members at North Boulevard church of Christ. Athletic Director Jason Piercey states, “Coach Peterson is a beloved member of our faculty, staff, and community. We are thrilled for him to lead our football program. We know he will do an excellent job of leading our young men on the field but also in molding them into the men God created them to be.”
