Siegel girls basketball coach Shane Young has resigned. A tweet from the school's athletics handle said "we would like to thank Coach Young for his effort and dedication in improving our girls basketball program."

He's been the head coach for the last two years, with Siegel making the region tournament this year for the first time in 11-seasons. His team finished with a record of 13-18.

Young is moving to the Huntsville to be closer to family.
