RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - The local swimming hole will be a popular destination this Memorial Day Weekend. In Murfreesboro, the SportsCom outdoor swimming pool, known as Boro Beach, will open for the season this Saturday (May 27, 2023)... That was Kyle Goss, the Aquatics Coordinator for the City of Murfreesboro. Goss reminded swimmers... Don't expect the outdoor temperature to be overly hot this weekend in the 'Boro, as the high on Saturday will reach about 75-degrees under partly cloudy skies. There's currently a 24% chance of rain on Saturday in Murfreesboro.
In Smyrna, the Splashtown Swimming Pool will be open to guests this Saturday from 10AM to 5PM. Splashtown, at 611 Nolan Drive, is Smyrna's public swimming pool and sits directly behind the Smyrna Event Center. Even though Smyrna is directly next door to Murfreesboro, the weather looks as if it will be slightly warmer by 2-degrees with a high of 77 this Saturday. The chance of rain in Smyrna is also less at 15%, as opposed to Murfreesboro's 24% chance of precipitation.
Admission fees for both the Boro Beach in Murfreesboro and the Splashtown swimming pool in Smyrna are priced the same... $7 for adults and $5 for children.
