LA VERGNE, TN – UPDATE: WGNS is following a bizarre story that unfolded on the west side of Rutherford County Tuesday... In La Vergne, three young children were located on Tuesday evening and at 7:15 PM, police had little to go by.
According to LaVergne Police, two boys and one girl were picked up by officers on East Heritage Circle, off of Fergus Road. The children apparently did not speak to officers and allegedly refused to write, in order to help police locate their parents or caregivers.
By midnight, police confirmed they located the mother of the children. However, officers have not given any further details about the incident.
Police previously reported the oldest of the two boys was 7 and the younger boy and girl were about 4-years of age.
