MURFREESBORO, TN – A gas line ruptured on Monday in Murfreesboro and authorities had to shut down Battleground Drive at Northfield Boulevard. The situation unfolded around 5 o'clock in the evening.
Utility crews were working on a sewer line when the incident occurred. Atmos Energy crews quickly arrived with first responders to secure the area. Atmos capped the break in the line as motorist found an alternate route. By around 7-o'clock Monday night, the line was fixed. Battleground remained closed, but Northfield was reopened, according to Murfreesboro Police.
