MURFREESBORO, TN - The annual Celebration Under the Stars will be held at the Fountains of Gateway in Murfreesboro on Tuesday, July 4th… That was Amy Byers with Middle Tennessee Electric, which is the presenting sponsor of this year's event.

MTE president and CEO Chris Jones said, “Celebration Under the Stars will be a wonderful, family-oriented way for Murfreesboro-area residents to celebrate America’s independence.”

Celebration Under the Stars, powered by Middle Tennessee Electric, will get underway at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The community is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for music and picnicking on the Fountains at Gateway lawn. Food trucks and restaurants at the venue will be open during the festivities. Live music featuring country artist Canaan Smith will begin at 7:30 p.m. from the Fountains stage, and the fireworks show will start at approximately 9:00 p.m. The Fountains at Gateway are in Murfreesboro at 1500 Medical Center Parkway.
