Smyrna Police Need Help Identifying Subject After Theft of Merchandise was Reported

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN – A man who was caught on camera has yet to be caught in-person. Smyrna Police say a the unidentified man is accused of shoplifting merchandise from the Asurion store. Asurion Phone is on Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna.

The Smyrna Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying the individual pictured above this story for theft of merchandise. Police report the theft occurred on June 22, 2023. The Smyrna Police Department is also seeking assistance in identifying individuals in an unrelated investigation that has roots at both Walmart and the Target stores (See above photo). Police have not released details on why they need to identify the two men, but have called them, “Persons of Interest.” The two were captured on a surveillance camera inside Target on July 2, 2023 and Walmart on June 27, 2023.
