(MURFREESBORO)  Crews from Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue responded to a kitchen fire call at 9:50 PM Friday night (7/7/2023) at 1906 Shafer Drive. That is between St. Andrews Drive and Cason Lane.  

Engine 9 was the first on scene and that crew extinguished the fire quickly,  keeping it in contained to the kitchen.

Units on scene were Engine 9, Ladder 11, Rescue 11, Engine 10, Rescue 4, Safety 2, Safety 1, Battalion Chief 1, and Battalion Chief 2.

No injuries were reported.
