RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Local non-profit Barnabas Vision is collecting school supplies for low-income students in Rutherford County. Volunteer Hillary Hodges told WGNS… If you’d like to help fill backpacks for students, you can donate financially or purchase the needed school supplies and then drop them off at Barnabas Vision in Murfreesboro (141 MTCS Rd.).
Each backpack will be given to local students on August 3, 2023 during a special back to school party. Hodges said the children are always excited about their new school supplies… Again, a Bible is also added to each backpack and sometimes, it’s the very first Bible the student has ever had. Last year, the local non-profit filled 100-backpacks. This year, they’re filling 160-backpacks!
