MURFREESBORO, TN – Detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Criminal Investigation Division are working a theft case where someone reportedly stole cash and multiple credit and debits cards. The items were apparently left in a car that was parked at the Old Fort Golf Club.
According to police, the theft occurred on July 11. Shortly after the theft, the victim came to the realization that whoever stole the credit cards decided to use them on a shopping spree. That shopping expedition took place at the Target store on Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro.
As luck would have it, security camera footage from Target that was gathered by detectives may have caught a possible suspect on tape. And... if the subject is not a suspect, police still want to speak to him in hopes of gathering vital details that could lead to the name of the person or persons who broke into the parked car.
Again, MPD detectives are hoping to speak with the two persons of interest who were caught on camera around the same time the stolen credit / debit cards were used. Police believe that at least one of the two males may have information or knowledge of the theft. One of the two has tattoo on his right bicep, which could help in the investigation. If you can help identify the subject or subjects, please contact Detective Shan Harris at 629-201-5536 or email the detective at 0499@murfreesborotn.gov.
