LIVE in the BORO“LIVE” in the Boro is coming up on September 12th in Murfreesboro. The annual event is a fundraiser organized by Greenhouse Ministries, a local non-profit that works to give hope, inspire others and change lives through a long list of services and programs. “LIVE” in the Boro will feature local musical talent that auditioned to make the cut for the September line-up... That was Cliff Sharp with Greenhouse. You can get tickets online at LIVEinTheBoro.org.

VOLUNTEER AT GREENHOUSE: Looking for somewhere to volunteer? Perhaps Greenhouse Ministries would be your place to fit-in… Cliff Sharp and his wife Jane founded Greenhouse as a ministry to simply help others nearly 25-years ago. The next food pantry will be held in August.

In addition to those in need receiving things like food, clothing and even help with housing, there is an ongoing list of classes that volunteers teach on a regular basis… Sharp said the look on someone’s face when they learn something new and actually understanding it, is priceless… Some additional classes at Greenhouse include recovery classes, HiSet Classes (High School Diploma), painting, resume prep, eating healthy on a budget, life skills, computers and more (Current Classes).

Greenhouse also operates the Garden Patch Thrift Shoppe, a store that helps support some of the programs and services at Greenhouse Ministries. In fact, 100% of proceeds go right back into the non-profit. The store provides local residents with a variety of clothing, furniture, household items and more. Sharp told WGNS there are always volunteer positions open at the Garden Patch!
