(SMYRNA, TN)  WGNS has good news to relay to listeners. The elderly gentleman who was reported as "Missing" to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations has been located and confirmed to be safe. Xe Van Dang was in Alabama, according to the TBI.  The Silver Alert has since been canceled.

The original alert was issued on behalf of the Smyrna Police Department, after the 89-year-old was last seen on Friday morning, August 17, 2023, in Smyrna, TN. 

Family was concerned due to a medical condition that may have impaired his ability to return safely without assistance.
