Rutherford County Schools will celebrate the groundbreaking of three new high school additions on Thursday.
Because of Rutherford County’s continued rapid growth, the school district has received funding to conduct three simultaneous expansions at Smyrna High School, Riverdale High School and Oakland High School.
The Riverdale expansion is expected to cost about $47.3-million, while the Oakland expansion will ring-in at $47.1-million. In Smyrna, the expansion at Smyrna High will be slightly less - coming in at $41.6-million.
