Person of Interest Identified in Local Shoplifting Incident

MURFREESBORO, TN – Another shoplifting case that was reported in the City limits of Murfreesboro is a step closer to hitting the courts, now that a person of interest has been identified. Detectives canceled the B.O.L.O., or “Be On the Lookout” for the subject that police wanted to question about two hours after releasing the woman's photo to media outlets on Thursday.

In the shoplifting incident, the female shopper entered Lowe's on Old Fort Parkway, and headed to the section that held a vast assortment of cleaning supplies. There, a total of 41-different items used for cleaning were shoplifted.

After the theft was reported by an employee at Lowe's, police obtained video surveillance footage that captured an image of the customer. Lowe's told officers the female left the store in a light colored SUV.

Pictures highlighting the person of interest were later released to media outlets, resulting in someone recognizing the woman and notifying the MPD. Two hours later, police confirmed they were able to positively identify the subject.

Again, Murfreesboro Police confirmed on Thursday a person of interest who was part of a shoplifting case at the local Lowe's store, has been positively identified on Thursday.
