Veterans Encouraged to Get their Flu Shot at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Starting Sept. 8, Veterans enrolled in VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) can receive their free flu vaccination at select locations. In Murfreesboro, Veterans can visit the Alvin C. York Medical Center Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 3:30 PM. Flu shots will be administered in the urgent care lobby.

TVHS Veterans can also get a flu shot at their next primary care or specialty clinic appointment. Veterans may receive vaccinations via a walk-in appointment during the following times and locations:

  • Nashville VA Medical Center: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Pod C
  • Alvin C. York VA Medical Center: Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., urgent care lobby
  • Chattanooga VA Clinic: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (except Wednesday afternoons), drive-thru clinic available
  • Clarksville VA Clinic: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., drive-thru clinic available 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.
  • Albion VA Clinic: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.​
  • Athens VA Clinic: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (except Wednesday afternoons)
  • Bowling Green VA Clinic: Wednesdays 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Charlotte Ave. VA Clinic: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., first floor
  • Gallatin VA Clinic: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • International Plaza VA Clinic: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., third floor

Visit the TVHS website for additional details on walk-in and drive-thru clinics. Veterans who are unable to get a flu shot at a TVHS location can visit an in-network provider near them.
