(MURFREESBORO) In a country and world polarized by politics, how do you get Americans back together? MTSU invites the public to a forum at 3:00 o'clock this coming Monday afternoon on "CIVILITY IN POLITICS". This will be in the Tucker Theatre at 615 Champion Way on MTSU's campus.
Former Democratic U.S. Congressman Jim Cooper and former Republican U.S. Sen. Bob Corker will anchor a panel in observance of Constitution Week (now through Sept. 19, 2023.
Retired Tennessee Congressmen Corker and Cooper are respected, influential, recently and from opposition parties. They will discuss the theme, “Common Sense Civics: Can We Work Together Again to Solve America’s Problems?”, in a panel discussion led by MTSU students and hosted by the American Democracy Project at MTSU.
The event is free and open to the public.
