MURFREESBORO, TN – Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation will move their administrative offices to a new location on North Thompson Lane in the near future. Parks Director Nate Williams stated... Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue will utilize a portion of the building for their administrative offices as their previous ADMIN office will soon be torn down to make way for a new mixed-use structure in downtown Murfreesboro, near the Broad and Vine Street intersection.

The Parks and Rec Department has seen exponential growth in recent years... New parks are part of the fuel that's leading to the Parks Department growth. Currently, the parks department is actively working on a plan for a future park along Veterans Parkway… The City will soon begin construction on a new skate-park, which will be constructed in Old Fort Park. Reports also indicate the City has an opportunity to build another park along Highway 96 in the future.
