NASHVILLE, TN - Three teens, ages 15, 16 and 17, are now in custody after being identified as the suspects in the string of recent motor vehicle thefts in East Nashville. Outstanding work by East Precinct Community Engagement Team Officer Lindsey Anderson, along with assistance from Vehicle Crimes Unit officers, Murfreesboro Police Department and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, led to their identification and subsequent arrests.
The group stole and broke into multiple cars, mainly from the Lenore Street area of Davidson County, the week of September 11.
The 15 and 16-year-old suspects were arrested Monday afternoon at a home on Bonnamere Drive in Nashville. The 17-year-old was taken into custody by LaVergne Police a short time later.
All three teens have been charged in juvenile court with four counts of motor vehicle theft and one count of gun theft. The 17-year-old was also charged with felony vandalism. Additional charges are anticipated.
