RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - A conviction has been confirmed in a case that involved a local grandfather raping a juvenile. In this case, an older sibling helped to put an end to the abuse... Rutherford County District Attorney Jennings Jones told WGNS that 75-year-old John Wendell Pilkington was indicted in March of last year.

Over a year passed by with several continuance's granted before Pilkington's case went before Rutherford County Judge Barry Tidwell... When Pilkington's sentence ends in year 2038, he will be 90-years-of-age.
