It was quite the scare this past Saturday night for those enjoying a hayride on Barfield Crescent Road at Adcock Road. According to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, an SUV struck the hay ride wagon.

Multiple deputies, fire crews and other emergency responders arrived at the scene around 6:45 in the evening, not knowing what they'd find. As with any call, it's often tough to assess what's fully happening until the first unit is at the accident site.

According to the Sheriff's Office, arriving emergency workers were relieved to determine that those enjoying the country hayride were not injured. The Sheriff's office confirmed that about 25-people were on the ride and the roadway had to be shutdown to clean the debris from the accident. But again, no one was injured in the Saturday night mishap that unfolded in the Christiana area.
