WGNS' Scott Walker talked to the mother of a special education student who was upset after learning her child could not participate in his schools homecoming parade. The parade was on October 13. 2023.

Angela Cotter told listeners about her son's excitement to be in the Oakland High School Homecoming Parade and that his excitement had been building for well over a week... and then the teen, along with 26 other students in his class were told they could not walk the parade route because medical planning for the parade had not been prepared in advance of the event.
