Master Gardeners Carol Reese and Linda Stevens interact with the community on lawn and garden issues: 

• The MASTER GARDENERS program is accepting new members for the 2024 year. Applications will be taken up to Dec. 1, 2023, or until the class is filled (call the Lane Agri Park at 615-898-7710 to make certain space is still available, the class is filling quickly)
• This Saturday (11/4) is the Master Gardeners final presentation of the season at Linebaugh Library
• Programs at the St. Clair Street Senior Center continue throughout the entire year
• Focus on planting trees and which trees work best in this area
• 10th Annual Tennessee Tree Day is set for March 16, 2024. The goal is to plan 125,000 native trees in the Volunteer State this year
• Discussion of problems people are having with hydrangeas and how it is likely related to the severe winter bite a year ago
