(MURFREESBORO) People living in this area continue to count their blessings as we near Thanksgiving, and thanks to Greenhouse Ministries over 600 frozen turkeys along with all of the traditional fix'ns were given out Saturday (11/18/2023).
Co-Founder Cliff Sharp told WGNS... Sharp noted, "A meal brings people together, and one family had not communicated with each other for a lengthy period of time. The Thanksgiving meal was the ingredient that started the reunion, and before long--they were hugging, sharing stories and being thankful."
That was a few years ago, but Sharp knows it sometimes only takes a little nudge to get families together.
In addition to the family's receiving a blessing when they were given the turkey and fixin's, those who donated them along with those who handed out the traditional thanksgiving meal, felt the happiness.
Sharp was so appreciative of the 300 or so volunteers who made this possible.
