NAHSVILLE - A Nissan Maxima that was stolen on November 9th in Murfreesboro was involved in a fatal accident on I-40 in Nashville. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning (Nov. 21, 2023).
According to Metro Police, the driver of the stolen sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed on the wet roadways and lost control after passing a tractor trailer truck. The driver was apparently seen crossing all four lanes of I-40 West and then drifting back to the left lane, where he drove under the trailer of the semi. It became trapped under the tires. The driver of the Nissan died at the scene. The semi driver was uninjured.
The crash occurred near the Fesslers Lane exit in Nashville. At this point, Metro Police have not been abled to identify the deceased male. Authorities did however say that two guns, an AR-15 style rifle and a loaded semi-automatic pistol with a 50-round drum magazine, were recovered from the Maxima, that again was stolen in Murfreesboro on November 9th.
