RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - In 1975, the Rutherford County Adult Activity Center opened with a purpose to serve adults with disabilities. In 2011, the organization received a name change to Journeys in Community Living. Now 48-years later, the organization continues to provide a variety of training services to more than 120 adults with intellectual disabilities in both Rutherford and Cannon Counties... That was Journeys in Community Living Development Director Dana Smith.
Some of the adults who receive supportive services through Journeys would not have a Christmas, without the thoughtful concern of local residents participating in the Journey's Heart Tree...
