MURFREESBORO, TN - In a minor incident on Friday, December 8, at 11:34 a.m., a two-vehicle non-injury crash occurred in front of Beaman Dodge on S. Church Street. One of the two vehicles veered off the road, colliding with a guy wire. The Murfreesboro Police responded promptly, managing the situation that caused a brief slowdown in lunchtime traffic for approximately an hour. Notably, the involved SUV was a Dodge Durango, spanning the model years 2021 to 2023, ironically positioned in front of the local Dodge dealership. The other SUV in the wreck was a white Toyota Rav 4.
Upon assessing the scene, Middle Tennessee Electric was called to address the impact on the guy wire. Guy wires are integral in supporting certain types of electric poles in the power system, designed to distribute weight effectively. Fortunately, the incident resulted in no injuries, and authorities managed the situation efficiently, ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
