Lieutenant Eric Staats with the La Vergne Police Department is the Demos’ Outstanding Emergency Responder. The person who nominated Lt. Staats said, “Too often their jobs are thankless ones. I would like to see him recognized for his over 15-years of service to the community.”   His recent promotion to Lieutenant is another way he is being appreciated. In addition, Lt.
