Celebrating MLK, Jr.

(MURFREESBORO) The Murfreesboro NAACP invites the public to be a part of the MLK March on Monday, January 15, 2024. It starts at Central Magnet School. And then on Saturday, January 26, the MLK Breakfast is at MTSU's James Union Building.

MLK March (11:00AM, Mon. Jan. 15)

Be a part of the MLK March on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day beginning at 11:00AM for breakfast biscuits on Monday morning, Jan. 15, at Central Magnet School, 701 East Main Street. Then everyone lines-up for the march at 11:30AM, with the march heading-out at 12 noon-- going east on East Main Street to Middle Tennessee Blvd., then turn right to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and turn right to Patterson Park Community Center.  Program at the Patterson Center begins at 12:30-1:00PM.

MLK Breakfast (9:00AM Sat., Jan. 26)

"Murfreesboro Branch NAACP-Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Breakfast will be Saturday, January 26, 2024. It too is sponsored by the Murfreesboro NAACP and this year's theme is "The time is always right to do what's right", a quote from Dr. King.
 
As in previous years, the MLK Breakfast will be held in the MTSU James Union Building, 516 Alma Mater Drive, Murfreesboro. The speaker is Roland Butler, III of Walnut Grove Church.
