Today on the Action Line, WGNS focused on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as today is MLK Day. Our first guest was Shawn Brown, organizer of the annual MLK March in Murfreesboro. This year, the march had to be canceled due to inclement weather.

On the second half of the program, we learned how Rutherford County has come together, as opposed to being divided by race. WGNS' Scott Walker spoke to the past president of the NAACP (Murfreesboro chapter). One of the items mentioned was the upcoming MLK Breakfast at MTSU. The event, which is sold out, will be in the James Union Building. The guest speaker is Roland Butler III of Walnut Grove Church.
