Neighbors made the grim discovery at approximately 3:54 p.m. on Sunday when they found Hannon pinned beneath her Lexus SUV. Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene but, devastatingly, pronounced Hannon dead upon their arrival.

According to the preliminary investigation, it appears that the Lexus SUV rolled backward down a small hill situated behind the driveway. At some point during this unintended motion, the vehicle ran over Kathryn Hannon, leading to the tragic outcome.

In the wake of this unfortunate incident, Murfreesboro Police Department detectives have initiated a thorough investigation. As part of the investigative process, they have requested an autopsy to precisely determine the cause of Kathryn Hannon's untimely death.

At this stage, based on the preliminary findings, detectives are leaning towards categorizing the incident as a deeply unfortunate accident. The circumstances surrounding the tragedy point to the SUV's unintended backward movement as the primary factor contributing to the unfortunate fatality.

The Murfreesboro Police Department is committed to conducting a comprehensive investigation to provide clarity on the details surrounding this tragic accident. As more information becomes available, updates will be provided to the public, ensuring transparency in the investigative process.
