With the recent arctic blast that hit our community, area first responders went the extra mile every time they were “on duty” or “off duty”. While traveling down an icy rural roadway, my Jeep slid off into a ditch. Lucky for me, Rutherford County Sheriffs’ Corporal James Elliott pulled-up. He recruited another motorist and got my Jeep back on the road. Corporal Elliott then showed me how to put my Jeep into 4-way drive. I’m thankful for all of the caring emergency responders who serve this community. It really is “the Heart of Tennessee”.
