Alleged suspects in Murfreesboro reportedly pointed handguns at officers and led them on a pursuit. Murfreesboro police responded to reports of individuals displaying a handgun in a black Nissan Altima on E. Lytle Street. Following notification from a license plate recognition camera indicating the car was stolen, officers attempted to stop it without success.

The pursuit ensued along Old Fort Parkway and I-24, ending when a Rutherford County deputy intercepted the stolen vehicle on the Medical Center Parkway on-ramp at Exit 76. No injuries were reported. Two men and a woman were detained, and pending charges may include aggravated assault on a police officer and theft over $10,000 for the stolen car.
