Murfreesboro, Tennessee - Engine 5 from the Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department led a heartfelt journey from the Medical Examiner's Office in Nashville to the Roselawn Cemetery in Murfreesboro on Tuesday. Both the Smyrna and LaVergne fire departments positioned their fire trucks on overpasses while hanging large American flags over Interstate 24 from their extended ladders. Police cars pulled to the side of the road as Engine 5 passed the patrol officers. These poignant gestures provided a solemn backdrop for those making the ceremonial journey from Nashville to Murfreesboro, underscoring the unity and camaraderie within the first responder community.
