Note to Drivers: Avoid Certain Roads Due to Ongoing Projects
As various construction projects unfold across the city from February 25th to March 2nd, drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly and avoid certain roads experiencing lane closures and traffic shifts. The following areas may experience delays and disruptions.
**Beasie Rd Extension (River Rock Blvd, north of Racquet Club Dr)**
- **Expected Lane Closures:** Monday to Friday: Riverrock Blvd will have one lane closed for waterline installation. Road and bridge work over Stones River Greenway continues, with the greenway trail closed around Beasie Rd. There will be no through trail access between Old Fort Park and Cason Trailhead.
**Cason Ln Electric Pole and Overhead Line Installation (between Cason Trl and New Salem Hwy)**
- **Expected Lane Closures:** Monday to Friday: Lane closures and traffic shifts on Cason Ln for electric pole and line installation by Middle Tennessee Electric crews.
**Electric Pole and Overhead Line Installation Work (Searcy St and Tune Ave)**
- **Expected Lane Closures:** Monday to Thursday: Lane closures and traffic shifts for electric pole and line installation at Searcy St and Tune Ave.
**NW Broad St at Singer Rd Shoulder Improvement Work**
- **Expected Lane Closures:** Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm: Lane closures on NW Broad St for shoulder improvement work by a private development contractor.
**Private Development Waterline Tie-in/Installation Work (W Thompson Ln, west of Windsor Green Dr)**
- **Expected Closures:** Tuesday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm: Lane closures for waterline installation at 694 W Thompson Ln by a private development contractor.
**Greenland Dr Electric Pole and Overhead Line Installation Work (between Middle Tennessee Blvd and Rutherford Blvd)**
- **Expected Lane Closures:** Monday to Friday: Periodic lane closures and traffic shifts on Greenland Dr for electric pole and line installation by Middle Tennessee Electric crews.
**Overhead Electric Line Installation Work (Kingwood Dr)**
- **Expected Lane Closures:** Monday to Thursday: Lane closures and traffic shifts for overhead electric line installation on Kingwood Dr by Middle Tennessee Electric crews.
**Annual City Street Paving**
- **Expected Lane Closures:** Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm: Construction work at McKnight Park Rd extension off Lt. Patrick McBride Dr, with lane shifts and traffic interruptions.
**TDOT Resurfacing Projects**
- **RUTHERFORD COUNTY SR 99:** Grading, drainage, construction of retaining walls, signals, and paving on SR-99 (New Salem Hwy) from near I-24 to SR-96 (Old Fort Pkwy) with periodic flagging operations for construction activities from 9 am to 3 pm.
- **RUTHERFORD COUNTY SR 266:** Grading, drainage, construction of bridges, signals, and paving on SR-266 (Jefferson Pike) from SR-102 to east of I-840 with daily flagging operations from 9 am to 3 pm. Old Jefferson Pike will be closed with a signed detour in place.
