RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Recruitment efforts are underway at the Rutherford County School system right now... That was Dr. Andrea Anthony, the school’s chief personnel officer. 

Some positions may come with a sign-on bonus. Human Resources Specialists Kris Marshall highlighted some the bonus categories that are currently available... The bonuses typically get paid in December, followed by a payment in May.

Dr. Anthony said with over 50,000 students, the local school system is one of the fastest growing districts in the U.S...

Substitute teachers are also needed. Several certified teaching positions for substitutes pay as much as $125 per day, while other schools pay $100 per day. Part of what goes into pay rates is dependent upon the substitute being classified as a certified or non-certified teacher.
