MORE: Murfreesboro Police are seeking the public's help in identifying two individuals wanted for questioning after a series of break-ins occurred outside a local school. The vehicle break-ins occurred on March 5. The incidents took place at Primrose School located on Wendelwood Drive. One item that is concerning among those who live in the area, is how, or perhaps the right word is “when” the parked cars broken into. .
Police told media outlets on Tuesday that many of the vehicles that were broken into, were left unlocked and unattended, but that's not where the story ends. According to reports released by the MPD, multiple vehicles were targeted as parents parked and walked their children into the pre-k school. Thieves had only a small window to strike, and get away without being seen.
Surveillance footage obtained from the scene shows an unidentified male suspect entering one of the victim's cars and allegedly stealing a wallet. Additional footage captured at retailers in Smyrna and Nashville revealed an unidentified female using several credit and debit cards that were allegedly stolen from victims in the case. The cards were used to purchase gift cards at various Walgreens locations in Rutherford and Davidson Counties.
Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes these individuals to contact Murfreesboro Police Detective Aaron Gonzalez at 629-201-5638. You can also email tips to Gonzalez at 0992@murfreesborotn.gov. Keep in mind, assistance from the community is needed for law enforcement to solve this case, that may have ties to not only Murfreesboro, but also Smyrna and Nashville, as the stolen cards were allegedly used in both cities.
