Located on Alabama Highway 53, just north of Huntsville, the sign marks the site of the devastating crash where Wadham, hailing from Joelton, and Randolph, a beloved member of Murfreesboro, perished. The crash occurred in the median between the northbound and southbound lanes of Alabama 53 near the intersection of Burwell Road in Harvest.

Both Wadham and Randolph, assigned to A Company, 1-230th Assault Helicopter Battalion stationed at Berry Field Air National Guard Base in Nashville, were conducting a routine training flight when tragedy struck. Their unwavering dedication to duty and their willingness to sacrifice for the greater good serve as a testament to their character and commitment to serving their nation.
