Murfreesboro, TN — The Ethos Youth Ensembles announces the formation of the Ethos Children’s Choirs, a comprehensive, sequential community children’s choir program for public school, private school, and home school students in grades 3 through 8. While the ensembles won’t launch until Fall 2024, auditions for the Ethos Children’s Choirs are Sunday, April 28.
Formed in 1997, the Ethos Youth Ensembles have long-served Rutherford County with a two-year curriculum of beginning string lessons, four youth orchestras, and a youth jazz ensemble. The Ethos Children’s Choirs are the newest musical ensembles Ethos offers, and will be conducted by Dr. Brian Russell, Executive Director of Ethos and Co-Director of Choirs at Stewarts Creek High School.
“Rutherford County deserves its own Children’s Choir program,” says Dr. Russell. “Families no longer need to drive to Nashville for a top-notch children’s choral ensemble. And with nearly 100 students already signed up to audition, we look forward to a new, affirming community that builds on the tremendous support for the Arts our community enjoys.”
Auditions will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, April 28 at Stewarts Creek High School. Auditions will be held in a group setting following a parent informational meeting and open rehearsal where students will learn new songs and play musical games. Details and a link to RSVP for the auditions are held at EthosMusic.net.
