15th annual Exchange Club's "Healing Field, Flags of Remembrance"

8AM Sat. - 6PM Mon. (May 25-27, 2023) The 15th annual Healing Field "Flags of Remembrance" at First United Methodist Church (265 W. Thompson Ln.). Walk among 500 large 3 x 5-foot American flags that are on 5-foot-tall staffs. You can even purchase a flag to fly in memory or to honor someone for $35. Plus, you get to take the flag home after the event ends.

Sat. (May 25, 2024) 8:00AM OPENING CEREMONY with Lt. Gen. Keith M. Huber (retired, US Army, Green Beret). After the opening, The Healing Field, "Flags of Remembrance" will be open 24-hours daily until the closing ceremony at 6:00PM Monday (May 27, Memorial Day).

In addition, Local Boy Scouts will have a Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Healing Field on Saturday at 6:00 PM. The community is invited to bring old, tattered, worn-out Flags earlier that day by 4:00PM to be properly retired. This is a service of the Exchange Club of Rutherford County and Tri-Star Veterans Resource Center, both non-profits. More information can be found at www.HealingField.org.
