Rutherford County SRO Sgt. Tim Hayes and SRO Chad Dodson join WGNS Host Scott Walker. Today, they discuss the upcoming SRO Junior Deputy Academy for 5th grade students that are headed to middle school next school year. The academy is from 8 a.m. to 2:30 pm., May 28-30 at Stewartsboro Elementary School or McFadden School of Excellence. Cost is $20. Parents should contact the SRO at their child’s school to register.

Also, SRO Dodson talks about a stuffed animal that brought smiles to the faces of students during COVID. The  stuffed dog named Pancake, provided comfort to the Lascassas Elementary kids during COVID. Since that time, he has expanded to Pancake and friends. And now, he has just published his second book about Pancake.
