Deadly Gas Station Shooting: Dispute Over Car Ownership Leads to Fatal Incident

Updated Post: Murfreesboro, TN - In a tragic turn of events, one of the victims involved in the gas station shooting on Wednesday afternoon has succumbed to his injuries. The 23-year-old man tragically lost his life, while the other victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder, remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Authorities have arrested 26-year-old Juan Charco in connection with the incident. Charco faces charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. According to preliminary reports, Charco was one of the occupants of a black Ford F-150 involved in the altercation, which led to gunfire targeting the occupants of a Mercedes.
  
The community awaits further developments as law enforcement continues their inquiries into this devastating incident.

MPD UPDATE: At 2:39 p.m. MPD responded to reports of a shooting at the 7 Eleven Exxon on Joe. B. Jackson Pkwy. When officers arrive they found two men shot; one multiple times, the other was shot in the arm. 

Preliminary investigation indicates two men in a black Ford F150 were towing a Chrysler 200 and stopped at the business. The truck was having mechanical issues. They removed the Chrysler from a trailer. Two men then pull up in a silver Mercedes. 

There was a confrontation and then shots were fired. After the shots, the two men in the truck got into a physical altercation with the man shot in the arm. The man shot in the arm ran inside the business. 

Police detained the two men in the black truck and took them to police headquarters for questioning. 

Investigators are trying to figure out the motive . 

No conditions on the two men as of yet.

There was a shooting at a local gas station on Joe B. Jackson Parkway at Elam Road near I-24 Wednesday. Emergency personnel rushed to the scene following a shooting at the 7 Eleven Exxon located on Joe B. Jackson Parkway. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 p.m., left two individuals injured.

Authorities have confirmed that two gunmen are now in custody, but few details have been released. However, Murfreesboro Police did confirm that detectives have launched an investigation into the motive behind the shooting, seeking to unravel the circumstances that led to this violent altercation.

In response to the incident, both the 7 Eleven and Burger King establishments in the vicinity have been closed. Additionally, motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays along Joe B. Jackson Parkway and are encouraged to seek alternate route.

The MPD urges anyone with information pertaining to the incident to come forward with details in hopes of determining exactly what occurred and why?
