Of the many Rutherford County state champions crowned during Spring Fling, the spring sports TSSAA championships, Eagleville baseball and Stewarts Creek softball made history.
For the Lady Red Hawks, their young team battled through three games in one day to get to the title game. Down 3-0 in the 6th, they score two runs and hold Kingsport Dobyns Bennett in the top of the 7th. But they couldn't get a run across. Stewarts Creek in their first ever state title game for softball finishes runner up.
Eagleville finishes off their season with their third consecutive baseball title, going 106-12 during that time.
